More Contact with the real world!

A praise to God in my private life: He led me to try contact lenses! I have been wearing glasses since I was 7 years old; and never tried contact lenses because, well, it always seemed such a lot of hassle...
Now the Holy Spirit prompted me to go ahead and try them; and - surprise! - I liked it from day one! If you have never been a "four-eyes", you don't know what it means to see the world (just a small part of the world) pressed into a small frame...
And hey! The second day I wore my contact lenses, I had to drive to a rehearsal after sunset. A deer jumped out of the wood and crossed the street in front of my car, and if I had had my glasses on, believe me- I would have seen it too late (since it is difficult to perceive objects correctly that are to the far right or far left of your field of vision). God is so good! I believe He wanted me to have better vision (in every sense of the word!). Hallelujah, our God is great!
